In-Place Straddle Jump
YUÁN DÌ SHUĀNG FĒI YÀN (原地雙飛燕)
A basic jump in classical Chinese dance, it is simply a vertical jump in which the legs kick from the side into a full straddle split position. Depending on personal ability, a dancer may kick well past the 180º split. In classical Chinese dance, this move is known as “double flying swallows.”
